Oscar Fan

Oscar Fan is a Managing Director and Head of Consumer for the China region at General Atlantic, operating out of the firm's office in Hong Kong. He joined the global growth equity firm in 2020 to lead its consumer investment practice across the Chinese market, transitioning from his previous position as a Principal at TPG Capital. Before moving into private equity and growth investing, Fan built his foundational financial expertise through various investment banking roles at both Barclays Capital and Macquarie. He completed his undergraduate education in Beijing, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Peking University before embarking on his career in the financial services industry. Today, his primary professional focus centers on identifying and executing strategic growth equity investments within the consumer sector across the broader Chinese mainland and regional markets.
