Oriol Juncosa

Oriol Juncosa is the Co-founder and Managing Partner at Encomenda Smart Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Barcelona, Spain. Prior to establishing Encomenda, he served as an Investment Director at Nauta Capital and held technology-focused mergers and acquisitions roles at BNP Paribas and Merrill Lynch. Throughout his career as an angel investor and venture capitalist, Juncosa has participated in funding rounds for more than 80 technology startups across Southern Europe. His investment portfolio features prominent technology companies and successful exits, including early backing of the delivery platform Glovo, the business management software Holded, and the fintech enterprise Kantox. He holds a degree in Economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra and an MBA from ESADE Business School. Juncosa currently focuses on providing seed capital and strategic operational support to digital businesses navigating their initial scaling phases.
