Omar Hakim

Omar Hakim is a Professor of Practice at Texas A&M University and a co-founder of the Aggie Angel Network, based in College Station, Texas. He previously spent a decade at Accenture, serving as the Asia Regional Director of Network Consulting across 15 countries and managing a portfolio of over 500 patents. Hakim also worked as the Vice President of Client Strategy at Michael Best and conducted corporate venture due diligence. Through his angel investing initiatives, he has screened more than 900 startups and directed $7 million in equity investments into 16 distinct companies. As a licensed Professional Engineer and inventor holding more than 24 patents, he has advised over 100 early-stage ventures and collaborated with organizations like NASA. His current focus centers on technology commercialization, intellectual property strategy, and teaching entrepreneurship to engineering and business students.
