Oliver Ortlieb is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Ultra, an industrial robotics startup based in the United States. Founded alongside Jon Miller Schwartz and Max Friefeld in 2024, the company develops general-purpose robots for warehouse and factory automation, recently securing $500,000 in pre-seed funding from Y Combinator. Previously, Ortlieb served as Co-founder and CTO of Voodoo Manufacturing, a Y Combinator-backed 3D printing factory that was later acquired by 3D Tech. Before that venture, he co-founded Layer By Layer, a secure digital marketplace for 3D-printable products that MakerBot successfully acquired. He holds multiple patents in 3D printing technology and earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Harvey Mudd College in 2012.
