Ohad Hammer

Ohad Hammer is a Partner at Pontifax Venture Capital, a life sciences investment firm based in Herzeliya, Israel. He originally joined the organization in 2009 to evaluate healthcare startups and was subsequently promoted to his current partnership position in January 2013. In his capacity as an early-stage investor, Hammer currently serves on the boards of directors for several prominent biotechnology companies, including Agomab Therapeutics since April 2019, Step Pharma since March 2021, and Adcendo since April 2023. He has also been involved with the strategic development of Emergence Therapeutics. Prior to entering the venture capital sector, he worked in various operational roles within biotechnology companies and earned a Master of Science in Biology from Tel-Aviv University. His current focus centers on leveraging his scientific expertise to identify early-stage pharmaceutical opportunities and guide portfolio company formation.
