Ofer Wald is a General Partner at J-Ventures in Tel Aviv, Israel, where he invests in seed and Series A technology startups. Since joining the firm in March 2022, he has helped manage over $200 million in assets under management and led investments including a Series D round for Lacework at a $1.3 billion valuation. Previously, Wald served as a Partner at Genesis Partners from 2012 to 2021, leading more than 20 investments across the cybersecurity and enterprise software sectors. His portfolio features notable companies such as Rapyd and Wiz, a cybersecurity unicorn co-founded by Assaf Rappaport and acquired by Google for $23 billion in 2024. A former Israeli Air Force intelligence officer with a computer science degree from the Technion, Wald currently focuses on backing early-stage founders in artificial intelligence, fintech, and deep tech.
