Octavius Phukubye

Octavius Phukubye is a venture capital and development finance professional operating within emerging markets and the inclusive investment sectors. He previously served as a Venture Capital Fellow in the 2022 class of IncludedVC, where he gained direct exposure to global networks supporting diverse and underrepresented founders. Phukubye completed a Fulbright Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship at Michigan State University and currently holds both a Master's degree and a postgraduate diploma in development finance from Stellenbosch University. Additionally, he earned a Bachelor of Commerce in accounting from the University of Limpopo and completed management leadership training at the Unisa Graduate School of Business Leadership. Operating at the intersection of impact and financial returns, his current focus centers on bridging formal venture capital methodologies with development-focused finance to optimize capital allocation across underserved founder ecosystems in developing regions.
