Niv Dror

Niv Dror is the Managing Partner and Co-founder of Shrug Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm based in the United States. Prior to launching his own investment vehicle, he served as the Head of Marketing at AngelList following its 2016 acquisition of Product Hunt, where he previously worked as an Editor. In April 2018, Dror successfully raised a $3 million debut venture fund to invest exclusively in early-stage consumer-focused technology startups. His initial investment portfolio features several recognizable consumer brands and digital platforms, including Superhuman, HQ Trivia, Breaker, and Atoms. The firm's debut fund also attracted financial backing from prominent industry figures, including Andreessen Horowitz partners Marc Andreessen and Chris Dixon. Today, Dror maintains a core focus on identifying and funding early-stage consumer software and products that generate mainstream cultural engagement outside of traditional technology circles.
