Niraj Varia

Niraj Varia is the CEO of iProcure, an agricultural technology company based in Nairobi, Kenya. He assumed this leadership role in August 2022, succeeding co-founder Stefano Carcoforo, after serving on the company's board of directors for five years. Previously, Varia spent eight years at Novastar Ventures, where he progressed from the firm's inception to partner, managing multiple fund investments and operations across sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to his venture capital career, he worked as a Project Manager at McKinsey for four years and advised businesses across 12 African countries in the agriculture, energy, and food service sectors. Additionally, he is a two-time startup founder who previously launched and operated a Kenyan food delivery service prior to the pandemic. Varia's current focus is scaling iProcure to streamline agricultural input supply chains for over 1,000,000 farmers across the African continent.
