Nikolay Golubev

Nikolay Golubev is a London-based Managing Director at Strategic Value Partners, where he co-leads the firm's European real estate investment efforts. He joined the alternative investment firm in August 2025 to oversee opportunistic credit and distressed asset strategies across a platform that manages $22 billion in total assets. Prior to this role, Golubev served as a Partner on the Special Situations team at Bain Capital, focusing on complex capital structures and non-performing debt within the European property sector. His earlier career includes real estate principal investing positions at Apollo Global Management and Merrill Lynch in Frankfurt, following his graduation with a Master of Science in Economics and Management from the Humboldt University of Berlin. Today, Golubev focuses on executing private equity-style real estate transactions, distressed debt acquisitions, and complex capital solutions across the European market.
