Nikolaj Nyholm is a Board Member and former CEO at Astralis, based in the Copenhagen Metropolitan Area, Denmark. As a serial entrepreneur, he founded several technology startups, including domain registrar Speednames, which sold for $36 million in 2007, and mobile social application Imity, which was acquired by Vodafone for $50 million. His operational background also includes founding Organic Network to create the OpenWrt system, and holding early roles at Polar Rose prior to its acquisition by Apple. Transitioning to venture capital, Nyholm joined Sunstone Capital as a Partner in 2010, where he invested in internet and geodata enterprises while serving as an advisor to Mojang during the development of Minecraft. His current focus centers on advancing the European gaming and esports infrastructure through strategic board roles and his 2020 launch of the Scattershot video game studio.
