Niels Nielsen

Niels Nielsen is a Co-founder and Partner at the early-stage venture capital firm 2xN, based in London, United Kingdom. Alongside co-founder Lars Fjeldsoe-Nielsen, he recently launched a $120 million fund dedicated to quantum technology opportunities, building upon an initial stealth fund that deployed $50 million across 21 deals starting in January 2021. Half of those initial portfolio companies have subsequently secured additional financing rounds. His investment portfolio features prominent quantum and technology startups, including Quantinuum, QuantrolOx, Kvantify, StudySmarter, and Monta. In May 2023, Nielsen led a 31 million DKK seed funding round for Sparrow Quantum alongside the Danish Growth Fund, further establishing his presence as a board member and active backer in the sector. The Danish serial entrepreneur currently focuses on accelerating early-stage commercialization within the quantum computing, mobility, marketplace, and education technology markets.
