NIEL OK

Niel Ok is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at Null Labs, a defense technology startup backed by Y Combinator that builds end-to-end simulation infrastructure for autonomous weapons. Prior to this role, he served as hire number two at an applied artificial intelligence laboratory spun out of DeepMind, where he led the development of scalable infrastructure for fast large language model inference. Ok previously conducted DeepMind-sponsored research focusing on inference scaling, interpretability for text diffusion models, and variance-aware inference for robotics. He studied electrical engineering and conducted theoretical neuroscience and neuromorphic computing research at the Stanford Brains in Silicon lab. Additionally, he participated in quantum informatics and computing research initiatives sponsored by IBM and Google. His technical background centers on developing advanced artificial intelligence infrastructure, neuromorphic computing systems, and simulation environments for autonomous defense applications.
