Nicolas Szekasy

Nicolás Szekasy is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of Kaszek Ventures, operating across offices in São Paulo, Mexico City, and Montevideo. Before establishing the firm in 2011, he spent a decade as Chief Financial Officer at MercadoLibre, directing the company's $333 million initial public offering in 2007. His earlier corporate background includes seven years serving as Chief Financial Officer at PepsiCo, and he holds an MBA from Stanford University. At Kaszek, he manages over $3 billion in assets and has invested in more than 140 startups, including prominent Latin American unicorns such as Nubank, Kavak, and Creditas. Additionally, he serves as Chairman of LAVCA and sits on the board of directors for Endeavor Global. Szekasy focuses his current investment strategy on deploying early-stage capital into technology companies addressing financial inclusion across underserved regional markets.
