Nicolás Schmidt-Urzúa is a Venture Partner at Anthemis Group based in Mexico City, Mexico. Before joining the venture capital firm in 2023, he co-founded Habi, a Latin American real estate technology enterprise that achieved a valuation exceeding $1.4 billion following a $160 million Series D funding round in 2022. He previously began his career working as an Investment Banking Analyst at Credit Suisse, developing foundational expertise in corporate finance and capital markets. Schmidt-Urzúa holds a degree from Universidad Iberoamericana and maintains an active industry presence, recently speaking at the October 2024 Fintech Mexico Summit. Leveraging his dual background in investment banking and entrepreneurship, he advises on scaling financial innovations globally.
