NICO HÄNGGI

Nico Hänggi is a Co-Founder at Casey, a Y Combinator-backed technology startup in the F25 batch, based in San Francisco, California. Prior to launching his current venture in the United States, he served as a Tech Lead at grape insurance, where he directed product development and engineering initiatives for the Swiss insurtech scaleup. Over a decade-long career in software development, he has held backend engineering positions at technology companies including Caplena, building scalable services such as a TypeScript API and a NestJS and PostgreSQL-based content management system. He holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from ETH Zurich, providing a formal academic foundation in program verification, reverse engineering, and systems-level architecture. Today, his professional focus centers on leading early-stage product development and deploying scalable backend infrastructure for high-growth technology startups.
