Nico Albanese

Nico Albanese is a London-based entrepreneur currently serving as the founder of an early-stage stealth startup. Prior to his current venture, he spent five years as an Investment Associate at Ascension Ventures, where he facilitated investments across more than 75 portfolio companies. During his tenure from 2018 to July 2023, Albanese focused primarily on consumer-facing technology startups, directing capital into notable platforms such as the fashion rental marketplace HURR and the dating application Thursday. He also managed investments in retail software and direct-to-consumer brands, contributing to the growth of ZigZag Global before its corporate acquisition by Global Blue in 2021. Before entering the venture capital industry, he completed his higher education across multiple international university business programs.
