Nicky Vu

Nicky Vu is a Partner at SVG Ventures-THRIVE, a global agrifood innovation platform and venture capital firm. In this leadership role, she directs early-stage venture capital allocation, specifically targeting Seed and Series A startups operating across the global agricultural and food technology supply chains. Working alongside CEO and Founder John Hartnett, Vu evaluates disruptive technologies that address critical industry challenges, including global food security, environmental sustainability, and supply chain efficiency. To support these initiatives, her firm actively connects emerging startups with a network of multinational corporations, universities, and institutional venture investors. Recently, SVG Ventures-THRIVE participated in a $5.0 million Seed funding round for the agricultural technology startup Verdi Expeditions on May 1, 2025. Vu's current focus remains on identifying, funding, and scaling emerging agrifood technologies through strategic venture capital investments and corporate accelerator partnerships.
