Nick Sturiale is the Managing Partner at Ignition Partners, based in Los Altos, California. Before joining Ignition in 2013, he served as a General Partner at Icon Ventures and Sevin Rosen Funds, and as a Managing Director co-heading the Silicon Valley office for The Carlyle Group. Sturiale began his career handling roles from product management to sales in three enterprise analytics startups before becoming the founding CEO of Timbre Technologies, which Tokyo Electron acquired for $138 million in 2002. Over his venture capital career, he has invested $180 million to help build more than 100 startups, realizing over $1 billion in returns through notable companies like Splunk, Bill.com, and XenSource. Having held more than 30 board seats across the technology sector, his current focus remains on early-stage enterprise software investments navigating major industry shifts.
