Nick Kim

Nick Kim is a General Partner at Upfront Ventures based in Los Angeles, California, where he leads seed and Series A investments across the United States. Before joining Upfront, he served as a Principal at Crosslink Capital and held earlier investment roles at Battery Ventures following his graduation with a Bachelor of Science in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University. Over his ten-year venture capital career, Kim has directed more than twenty investments as a lead or co-lead investor, backing notable portfolio companies such as Bird, Karat, and the fintech startup Jeeves. In 2024, he led a Series B investment in the artificial intelligence coding platform Replit, and he subsequently joined Upfront's expanded investment committee in March 2025. His current investment focus centers on scaling early-stage enterprise software, artificial intelligence, developer tools, and consumer marketplaces.
