Nick Grossman

Nick Grossman is a Partner at Union Square Ventures based outside Boston, Massachusetts, where he focuses on internet infrastructure, decentralization, and public policy. Since joining the firm, he has helped manage a portfolio of approximately 100 companies and led significant blockchain investments in entities like Coinbase, Filecoin, and Helium. Before his venture capital career, Grossman led the OpenPlans incubator, where he pioneered civic technology initiatives such as the open311 standard and the New York City bus data API. He holds a 2001 degree in Urban Studies from Stanford University and has maintained academic affiliations with the MIT Media Lab and Harvard Law School.
