Neil Nie is the Co-Founder and CEO of Verne Robotics, an artificial intelligence and robotics company based in South San Francisco, California. Prior to founding the company, he left his doctoral studies at UC Berkeley and completed computer vision and machine learning internships at Apple, where he contributed to the development of the Apple Vision Pro. Nie previously conducted graduate-level research focused on multi-modal perception and robotics at the Stanford Vision and Learning Lab and Columbia University under Professor Shuran Song. A three-time Apple WWDC Scholar with 12 years of programming experience, he has delivered a TEDx presentation on artificial intelligence that accumulated over 600,000 views and currently holds advisory positions at Roughneck AI and Lucky Robots.
