Neil Kumar

Neil Kumar is the co-founder and CEO of BridgeBio Pharma, based in Palo Alto, California. Before establishing the company in 2015, he served as a Principal at Third Rock Ventures, where he helped launch MyoKardia and acted as interim Vice President of Business Development and Operations. Earlier in his career, Kumar worked as an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company, directing personalized medicine strategies for pharmaceutical and medical technology clients. Under his leadership, BridgeBio utilizes a hub and spoke business model to advance its pipeline, resulting in three approved drugs and two positive Phase 3 clinical trial readouts. The firm recently secured FDA approval for Attruby and announced positive clinical results supporting potential regulatory approvals for two additional rare disease therapies. Kumar maintains a primary focus on discovering and developing novel biopharmaceutical therapeutics for rare genetic disorders and oncology.
