Nathan Foos

Nathan Foos serves as an Investment Associate at Black Founders Matter, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Portland, Oregon. In this capacity, he evaluates seed-stage investment opportunities and manages portfolio operations for the firm's $10 million fund dedicated to Black-led technology startups. Prior to entering the venture capital sector, Foos held financial analysis and strategic planning positions at Intel Corporation and Nike, where he directed departmental budget allocations exceeding $50 million. He previously contributed as a startup advisor at Techstars, guiding emerging founders through institutional fundraising processes and operational scaling initiatives. Foos earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Oregon and subsequently obtained his Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
