Nathan Benaich

Nathan Benaich is the Founder and General Partner of Air Street Capital, a venture capital firm focused on early-stage artificial intelligence investments. Operating as Europe's largest solo general partner, he recently closed a $232 million third fund and has backed over 60 AI-first startups, including ElevenLabs and Synthesia. His portfolio features several notable exits, such as Graphcore's acquisition by SoftBank, Adept's acquisition by Amazon, and the public listing of Exscientia. Beyond direct investing, he co-authors the widely cited annual State of AI Report, which has tracked industry developments since 2018, and successfully advocated for UK government policy reforms regarding university spinouts. Benaich holds a Ph.D. in computational and experimental cancer research from the University of Cambridge, and his current focus remains on funding technically differentiated innovations across frontier AI, robotics, healthcare infrastructure, and biotechnology.
