Nate Cooper

Nate Cooper is the Founder and Managing Partner of Barrel Ventures, an early stage venture capital firm based in Chicago, Illinois. Since establishing the investment firm in 2018, he has directed capital allocation across the consumer, food and beverage, and retail technology sectors, successfully building a diverse portfolio of over 40 companies. Under his strategic leadership, Barrel Ventures has provided critical seed and early stage funding to prominent consumer brands including Olipop, Chamberlain Coffee, and Pop Up Grocer. Before launching his own venture fund, Cooper developed his foundational expertise in consumer markets, supply chain logistics, and brand scaling by evaluating emerging market trends within the competitive food and beverage industry. His current focus remains centered on identifying and financing innovative consumer packaged goods startups that demonstrate exceptional brand loyalty, sustainable unit economics, and highly scalable omnichannel distribution models.
