Naomi Fried

Naomi Fried is a Managing Director at Construct Capital based in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she oversees early-stage investments in the built environment. Joining the venture capital firm in 2023 to support a portfolio of more than twenty active companies, she recently co-authored a whitepaper on the future of the built environment. Previously, she managed over $100 million in climate technology deployments at Silicon Valley Bank and held executive positions at the construction technology startup Skycatch and Google X. Fried holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from MIT and a BS in Chemistry from UC Berkeley, and recently keynoted on sustainable materials at the November 2024 COP29 climate summit. Her career bridges academic materials science expertise with venture capital to scale sustainable construction and climate technologies for broad real-world commercial impact.
