Nancy Pfund

Nancy Pfund is the Founder and Managing Partner of DBL Partners, a venture capital firm based in San Francisco, California. Under her leadership, the firm has managed over $1.5 billion in assets, pioneering an impact investing strategy that targets financial returns alongside environmental and social benefits. She was an early investor in prominent companies such as Tesla, where she served as a board observer, and SolarCity, where she was a board member through its initial public offering and subsequent acquisition. Before founding DBL Partners, Pfund, an alumna of the Yale School of Management, was a Managing Director in Venture Capital at JPMorgan and began her institutional investment career at Hambrecht and Quist in 1984. Today, her current focus remains centered on cleantech, sustainable agriculture, and nature-based climate solutions to drive measurable carbon reduction across high-emission industrial sectors globally.
