Nader Motamedy

Nader Motamedy is the Founder and Managing Partner of Safar Partners, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The firm manages over $1 billion in committed capital, focusing on cleantech, artificial intelligence, and life sciences startups emerging from institutions like MIT and Harvard University. He currently serves on the boards of Aramis Biosciences and The Turing Company, while holding advisory roles at Commonwealth Fusion Systems and Gradiant Corp. Before establishing Safar Partners in 2018, Motamedy was the Senior Founding Partner, Chairman, and CEO of Caspian Private Equity, where he oversaw more than $3 billion in assets under management. He previously served as a founding partner at Caspian Capital Management, which managed over $5 billion, following early career roles at Morgan Stanley. His four-decade career centers on applying private equity principles to scale university-backed technology ventures.
