Murray Markiles is a Founding Partner at Morpheus Ventures, an early-stage technology venture capital firm based in Los Angeles, California. Since co-founding the firm in 2016, he has helped raise capital across multiple institutional investment vehicles, including securing $94.8 million toward a $150 million target for Fund III. Before transitioning to venture capital, he co-founded the corporate law firm Stubbs, Alderton & Markiles, LLP, served as a Senior Partner at Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, LLP, and was a Managing Director at Europlay Capital Advisors. In his current capacity, he provides operational and legal support to portfolio companies like SafetyCulture, notably assisting HouseCanary in securing a $740 million trade secret verdict in 2018. His primary focus remains on guiding disruptive technology startups through complex corporate transactions, intellectual property strategy, and ongoing crisis management.
