Munjal Shah is the Co-founder and CEO of Hippocratic AI, a generative artificial intelligence startup developing foundation models for the healthcare sector. Before launching his current venture in 2023, he co-founded Health IQ, a machine learning insurance platform, and like.com, an AI visual search company that was acquired by Google. Under his leadership, Hippocratic AI has raised $120 million from investors including General Catalyst and Andreessen Horowitz to build language models that outperformed GPT-4 on 105 of 114 healthcare exams. Shah holds 19 patents in health-related computing technologies and operates as an active seed investor who has backed more than 42 companies and 23 venture funds. He earned computer science degrees from UC San Diego and Stanford University, establishing a 25-year entrepreneurial career focused on applying neural networks and machine learning to commercial and healthcare outcomes.
