Mujtaba Badat

Mujtaba Badat is the Managing Partner at Belal Badat Ventures and the Co-founder of the DxAngels syndicate. Prior to his transition into venture capital, he spent approximately a decade as an early employee at Doximity, where he held various engineering and product roles before serving as the Chief of Growth for its staffing business until 2023. In 2024, he partnered with Ahmed Belal and Dr. Peter Alperin to launch DxAngels, an investment vehicle composed of health technology executives and Doximity alumni. Through his family office, Badat directs $25,000 to $100,000 checks into early-stage United States technology startups, building a portfolio that includes Flourish Health, SellScale, and Flipside Crypto. A graduate of the University of British Columbia and a 2025 Techstars mentor, Badat currently focuses on advising and funding early-stage digital health enterprises.
