Motasim Rahman

Motasim Rahman is an Investor at the United States-based venture capital firm Anchorless Bangladesh and the Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Gaze, operating across Canada, Singapore, and Bangladesh. He established Gaze in 2018 alongside former NVIDIA software engineer Shehzad Noor Taus Priyo to develop visual recognition APIs for spoof-proof facial identification, product recognition, and multilingual optical character recognition. Under his operational leadership, the artificial intelligence startup scaled to a 23-person team and successfully secured $830,000 in seed funding in 2020, a round notably led by Anchorless Bangladesh. Prior to launching his own venture, Rahman served as the Chief of Product at Fireout, a Vancouver-based hardware startup developing intelligent fire extinguishers. His current professional focus centers on advancing enterprise artificial intelligence solutions while deploying early-stage venture capital into emerging technology startups within the Bangladeshi market.
