Moritz Zimmermann

Moritz Zimmermann is a General Partner at the seed-stage investment firm 42CAP, based in Munich, Germany. He previously co-founded the e-commerce platform Hybris as a university student, initially focusing on digitizing paper mail-order catalogs for the web before the company was ultimately acquired by SAP. Following this acquisition, Zimmermann spent seven years at the enterprise software corporation, where he held senior leadership positions including Chief Technology Officer of SAP Customer Experience and Senior Vice President of Global Presales for SAP Hybris. In September 2024, he expanded his advisory activities by joining the European software networking organization Boardwave as a mentor to share his extensive entrepreneurial experience. Today, his primary focus is on early-stage venture capital, where he evaluates and supports resilient founders building disruptive technologies across the e-commerce and digital transformation sectors.
