Moritz Henschel

Moritz Henschel is a Principal at Foundamental based in Berlin, Germany, where he focuses on seed and pre-seed investments in early-stage technology startups. Since his promotion to Principal in the first quarter of 2024, he has been involved in backing more than 20 portfolio companies for the venture capital firm, which manages over 100 million euros in assets. His recent investment activity includes participating in Foundamental's funding round for the artificial intelligence startup Syntelly in March 2025, following a speaking engagement at Berlin Tech Week. Prior to this position, Henschel held investment roles at the venture capital firms Atlantic Labs and Antler, and he earned a degree in business administration from the WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management. His current investment focus centers on supporting European founders developing SaaS, artificial intelligence, financial technology, and deep tech platforms.
