Monique Woodard

Monique Woodard is the Founder and Managing Partner of Cake Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Atlanta, Georgia. She manages an active portfolio of more than 30 companies and recently raised a new $50 million fund in 2024 to invest in seed and Series A startups. Before establishing her venture firm, Woodard worked as an engineer at Lockheed Martin and completed a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at Georgia Tech. As a Class 23 Kauffman Fellow, she has backed notable technology startups including Hadrian, Upside, and Commonwealth Fusion Systems. Woodard frequently speaks at major industry events like TechCrunch Disrupt and maintains an audience of over 50,000 followers on social media platforms.
