Monique Schiersing

Monique Schiersing is the Senior Investment Director at the Roche Venture Fund based in Basel, Switzerland. Before assuming her current executive position, she served as the Chief Operating Officer at Inthera Bioscience AG and worked as a Principal at BankInvest’s BioMedical Ventures Group in Copenhagen. Her earlier career includes a nine-year tenure from 2009 to 2018 as a Director at the Roche Venture Fund, alongside various business development roles within Roche's pharmaceutical division. She currently holds board of director seats at several biotechnology companies, representing her firm's interests at lino Biotech, Minoryx, and NMD Pharma. Prior to her corporate career, Schiersing earned a Master of Science degree in microbiology from the University of Basel. Her current investment focus centers on Series A life sciences opportunities, specifically targeting preclinical therapeutics, innovative medicines, digital health, and near-launch diagnostics.
