Monica Saggioro Leal

Monica Saggioro Leal is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of MAYA Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm based in São Paulo, Brazil. She established the firm in 2018 alongside Lara Lemann to provide pre-seed and seed funding to Latin American technology startups, deploying initial check sizes ranging from $100,000 to $10 million. Before launching the investment fund, she gained operational and financial experience through corporate roles at Goldman Sachs, Restaurant Brands International, and Ambev's ZX Ventures. She earned a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School in 2018 and has been recognized consecutively from 2021 to 2024 as a LAVCA Top Women Investor in Latin America. Her current investment focus centers on providing hands-on support to sector-agnostic, early-stage opportunities across complex regional industries, including financial technology, logistics, healthcare, education, and real estate.
