Mohit Aron

Mohit Aron is the Co-founder and CEO of Cohesity, an enterprise data security and management platform based in San Jose, California. Under his leadership, the company reached a $7 billion valuation in 2021 and surpassed $1 billion in annual recurring revenue by the fourth quarter of 2024. He recently directed Cohesity's $2.5 billion acquisition of the enterprise data protection business from Veritas Technologies in July 2024. Before launching Cohesity, Aron co-founded and served as CEO of Nutanix from 2011 to 2013, a hyperconverged infrastructure pioneer that later completed its initial public offering on the NASDAQ exchange. He holds a doctorate in computer science from Rice University and previously developed distributed systems as a researcher at IBM Research. His two-decade career remains focused on advancing scalable cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise data protection systems.
