Mohamed Nanabhay serves as the Managing Partner at Mozilla Ventures, leading a $35 million impact fund that has invested in 42 pre-seed and seed-stage technology startups globally since early 2023. His current investment focus centers on backing B2B and B2C companies addressing internet health, artificial intelligence governance, and digital privacy. Previously, Nanabhay served as Deputy CEO of the Media Development Investment Fund and spent nearly a decade at Al Jazeera English, establishing its New Media department and working as Head of Online. As a media entrepreneur, he founded QatarLiving.com, which was acquired in 2012, and co-founded the Knight News Challenge winner Signalnoi.se, earning recent recognition on the Global Corporate Venturing Powerlist 2025. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of the Witwatersrand and a master's degree in International Relations from the University of Cambridge.
