Mohamed El Sherif

Mohamed El Sherif is the Executive Chairman and Founder of Sequence Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Cairo, Egypt. He directs the firm's strategic investment initiatives, notably managing the EGP 500 million Egypt Deep-Tech Fund which targets emerging technology startups. Under his leadership, the firm has built a diversified portfolio across artificial intelligence, health-tech, and logistics, executing investments in regional startups like AIM Technologies and Mtor. To support these investments, he established strategic technology transfer partnerships with prominent European research institutions, including the Fraunhofer Society. Prior to establishing his current firm, he accumulated over two decades of executive experience in corporate finance, investment banking, and asset management. El Sherif currently focuses on bridging the gap between academic research and commercial application by funding scalable ventures that address critical infrastructure challenges in emerging markets.
