Mitchell Kominsky

Mitchell Kominsky is the Founder and General Partner of Futureland Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Washington, District of Columbia. Before transitioning to the private sector as an angel investor, he served as an Associate Director at the United States Department of Transportation and worked as Technology Policy Counsel for Senator John Barrasso. He additionally held a counsel role with the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, where he helped shape federal policy around emerging technologies. Since establishing Futureland Ventures in 2021, Kominsky has built an investment syndicate of approximately 500 limited partners and executed at least 12 early-stage transactions, including a 2024 Series A investment in Delos Insurance. His current investment strategy primarily focuses on backing pre-seed and seed-stage startups developing deep tech, artificial intelligence, autonomous vehicles, and transformative climate innovations.
