Misha van Beek

Misha van Beek is the Co-founder of Bayesline, a financial analytics and quantitative risk modeling startup based in New York. Prior to establishing the company in 2024 alongside co-founder Sebastian Janisch, he served as a Managing Director at BlackRock. During his extensive tenure, van Beek led innovation for the firm's Aladdin platform, developing complex portfolio risk models that analyzed tens of trillions of dollars in institutional assets. He additionally directed the creation of an economic scenario engine and quantitative investment models that supported $400 billion in strategic asset allocations across major asset classes. Before entering the financial technology sector, he earned a PhD in Financial Mathematics from the University of Amsterdam. His current focus centers on leveraging GPU-powered technology to build customizable risk modeling, attribution, and portfolio optimization tools for asset managers.
