Misha Laskin

Misha Laskin is the CEO of Reflection AI, an artificial intelligence startup developing enterprise superintelligent agents equipped with long context search capabilities, team memory functions, and deep code understanding. He founded the company after departing his role as a research scientist at Google DeepMind, where he contributed to the Gemini 1.5 project and specialized in reinforcement learning for multimodal models. Under his leadership, Reflection AI emerged from stealth with $130 million in initial funding and subsequently secured massive additional investment rounds totaling $2.1 billion throughout 2025. Prior to his corporate AI research career, Laskin founded a Y Combinator backed startup and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at UC Berkeley. He holds a doctorate in theoretical physics from the University of Chicago and previously received his foundational academic training at Yale University, establishing his deep technical expertise.
