Misato Takahashi

Misato Takahashi is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Tailor, a headless ERP platform based in Tokyo, Japan. Backed by Y Combinator as part of the S22 cohort, the 40-employee startup focuses on modernizing retail operations and is recognized as the first Y Combinator-backed company headquartered in Japan. Prior to joining Tailor in February 2022, Takahashi served as the Co-founder and CTO of Speee, leading the technology strategy that contributed to the company's initial public offering on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2020. His earlier career includes serving as CTO of Spotlight before its successful acquisition by Rakuten, working as a software engineer at GREE, and leading the R4D research institute at Mercari. Currently, Takahashi leverages his extensive engineering background to drive ongoing innovation in scalable software architecture and enterprise resource planning technology for the retail sector.
