Minh Ta

Minh Ta is a Senior Associate at Ascend Vietnam Ventures (AVV) based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Before his promotion in July 2024, he served as an Associate at the venture firm, which closed its flagship AVV Alpha fund at approximately $64 million to back early-stage enterprise technology companies. Ta previously worked at 500 Startups Vietnam, where he progressed from an Investment Analyst to an Associate and acted as the junior lead on 16 venture capital deals. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Lawrence University and evaluates investments across a broader portfolio that includes prominent technology startups like Turing, Skymavis, and ELSA Speak. His current investment focus centers on identifying seed-stage and pre-seed opportunities within the human resources, property technology, and retail sectors across the rapidly growing Southeast Asian tech ecosystem.
