Millie Liu Liu

Millie Liu is the Founder and Managing Partner of First Star Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Through First Star Ventures, she manages investments across deep technology sectors, overseeing a portfolio of 54 companies with historical check sizes averaging $2.2 million. Prior to her venture capital career, Liu worked at APT, an enterprise data analytics startup that was acquired by Mastercard for $600 million. She also co-founded an MIT-affiliated startup that later pivoted to become Infervision, an artificial intelligence healthcare platform backed by Sequoia China. Liu holds a Master of Finance from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Toronto, and serves as an advisory board member for MIT CSAIL. Her current investment focus centers on applied artificial intelligence, computational biotechnology, and frontier technologies.
