Miles Grimshaw

Miles Grimshaw is a General Partner at Benchmark, where he focuses on seed and early-stage investments in high-growth technology companies. Prior to joining Benchmark, he served as a General Partner at Thrive Capital, a venture capital firm that recently closed $5 billion in new funds. During his tenure at Thrive Capital, he led early-stage investments in several software and technology-enabled businesses, including Airtable, Monzo, Benchling, and Lattice. His historical portfolio also includes early-stage deals with major technology platforms such as GitHub, Segment, and Slack. More recently at Benchmark, he has directed capital toward artificial intelligence startups, leading the seed investment in LangChain and participating in a $900 million funding round for Cursor at a $9.9 billion valuation. Today, Grimshaw maintains a primary investment focus on early-stage internet, enterprise software, and emerging artificial intelligence ventures.
