Mike Venerable

Mike Venerable is a Managing Director at CincyTech, an early-stage venture capital investment fund based in Cincinnati, Ohio. He initially joined the organization in late 2006 as a consultant working alongside founding CEO Bob Coy to build the fund, before eventually serving a seven-year tenure as the firm's Chief Executive Officer and President. During his executive leadership, Venerable directed the deployment of $87 million across 90 startup companies, which subsequently attracted $1.7 billion in total co-investment capital, including $1 billion in venture capital. In January 2024, he transitioned from his primary leadership position to an advisory role, with former Thompson Hine partner Emma Off succeeding him as CEO. His current focus remains on supporting seed-stage investments with check sizes ranging from $500,000 to $750,000 across sectors including artificial intelligence, biotechnology, cybersecurity, and enterprise software.
