Mike Slade

Mike Slade is a General Partner at Precursor Ventures based in San Francisco, California, where he actively invests in pre-seed and seed-stage technology companies on a global scale. Working alongside Charles Hudson, he helps manage over $100 million in assets under management and oversees a growing portfolio of more than 50 companies, including Glean, Ironclad, and AgentSync. In early 2025, Slade officially joined the firm's expanded investment committee and led a prominent seed investment in the artificial intelligence startup Replicate. Before transitioning to venture capital, he held early operational roles at high-growth technology startups such as Postmates and Flexport, and he earned a degree in computer science from Stanford University. His current investment focus centers on backing innovative founders across the artificial intelligence, financial technology, climate tech, consumer software, and developer tools sectors.
